Message from the President
This will be my last President's Message, as I'll be turning over the reins of NAWBO San Diego to the very capable Christine McDannell at our July lunch meeting. I've really enjoyed my tenure as President, which began in December 2008, and am proud of how our chapter has grown since then.
I had a goal at the start of the year of attaining 100 members by year-end, and we're well on our way to doing that. We have more than 80 members today. If you're already a member, please take advantage of everything NAWBO offers so it's a no-brainer when your annual renewal comes up. If you haven't joined yet, what are you waiting for? NAWBO is truly the best deal in town; our dues are low but the value you receive is phenomenal.
While my presidency is coming to an end, I'll still be around, serving on the Board as the Immediate Past President. I've also been elected Secretary on the NAWBO California Board, so San Diego will be well represented in statewide decisions.
I hope to see you soon at a NAWBO San Diego event.
Adrienne Moch Writer & Editor
P.S. The Women's Business Conference, NAWBO National's big annual event, will be held in San Diego in 2011. No dates have yet been chosen, but it will take place in the fall.

What's Coming Up?
Don't forget that Fourth Friday, our members-only mastermind group, meets on the fourth Friday of every month. This free event presents a great opportunity to give and get advice from other women business owners. There is limited seating, so save your place via nawbo-sd.org.
We also have some great programs planned for the rest of 2010. You can find a list of all upcoming luncheon speakers and seminar presenters on our website. We're also accepting speaker submissions for 2011. We prefer professional speakers for the luncheons, but give preference to members as seminar presenters. Complete the speaker nomination form on the website if you're interested.

A BRAVO! Success
Nearly 200 people enjoyed an inspiring performance from Lisa Nichols, honored all award nominees and cheered like mad for the honorees at our annual BRAVO! Awards. Our inaugural silent auction was quite a success as well; thanks to the generosity of those who donated and bought, we'll be making a $1,500 donation to San Diego City College to fund scholarships for women business students. If you want a second look, or you missed it, a slideshow from that night is available at http://www.nawbo-sd.org/bravo-awards.html, along with a list of the winners. Bravo to everyone involved in making this an evening to remember.
