Leslie Devaney, former San Diego Executive Assistant City Attorney, is the lead attorney at Stutz Artiano Shinoff & Holt's Government Relations/Municipal Law section. She is currently the City Attorney of Murrieta. She also provides advice for private firms and individuals in all areas of government procurement matters, including the preparation, submission, negotiation and performance of public bids, proposals and contracts. In addition, Leslie owns her own business as an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International, a leading Network Marketing company in skin care, nutrition, health and cosmetics. Leslie is active in numerous community organizations, serving as an executive board member for the Policy Panel on Youth Access to Alcohol as well as a board member for the Crime Victim's Fund and the Professional Women's Fellowship.

Alicia Gwynn, wife of a Hall of Fame baseball player, Tony Gwynn, is a trailblazer in her own right. In 1993 she opened her own sports marketing firm as an official licensee of Major League Baseball with sports memorabilia nationwide. Her entrepreneurial portfolio includes Creative Innovations, apparel production; Studio 815, recording studio; AG Sports, sports marketing; Gwynn Sport Inc., sports memorabilia and graphic design; Steady Play, clothing line, and Base Hit Records; record label. Alicia and Tony are widely known for their non-profit organization, Tony and Alicia Gwynn (TAG) Foundation, and its philanthropic involvement with inner city programs providing opportunities for underserved children and families. Alicia is now an ordained minister who counsels and teachs others in building character and community values.

INSTALLATION OF THE 2007-2008 NAWBO-SD BOARD

Judge Patricia Cowett of the San Diego Superior Court will swear in our new board members. Judge Cowett has served as a Judge in the San Diego court system since 1984, serving in many capacities in both Municipal and Superior Courts. She did her undergraduate work at U.C. Berkeley and was awarded her J.D. Degree from the School of Law at U.C. Davis. She has served on the boards of dozens of legal and community associations, and contributed her expertise in many seminars and training activities.
