• Learn "the who", " the how to" and " the must have" of building a media strategy. The most important question when pitching a story is, "What is the benefit to the audience?" Once you know that, you can formulate your approach.
• Learn the essentials of creating a viable publicity campaign, including writing a press release, creating story angles and pitches, talking with the media, building a target list, and developing a press kit that will get you noticed on and off the computer.

Lynn Pittman established her marketing, branding, and public relations consultancy in 2005. "Seize the Opportunity" is her motto. Lynn and her team create targeted campaigns that include an effective, cost efficient, and creative mix of marketing tools to achieve company goals. Lynn's marketing career spans over twenty years, beginning with Jerry Lewis and the Muscular Dystrophy Association after she graduated from Randolph-Macon College. Since her beginnings as a fundraiser, she has created the marketing, public relations, promotions, and advertising departments for a regional shopping center, country radio station, local cable TV station, chamber of commerce, retail sales event company, restaurant chain, and cookie company.
