NAWBO SAN DIEGO SEEKS ITEMS FOR BRAVO! AUCTION Awards-related event raises funds for charity beneficiary
SAN DIEGO—March 15, 2011—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) San Diego, which promotes, supports and educates women business owners in achieving success, announced today that it’s seeking items for the auction that will be held as part of the BRAVO! Awards on Wednesday, May 18. The dinner event, at the Marriott Courtyard Airport/Liberty Station, raises money for the chapter, but all auction proceeds fund scholarships for women business students at San Diego City College.
“We had such great success with our inaugural auction last year that we decided to make it a permanent part of the evening’s festivities,” said Audrey Welch, chairwoman of the auction committee. “We hope to get the same great range of donated items, everything from wine baskets and rounds of golf at local country clubs to spa gift certificates and original artwork.”
Donations must be worth at least $50 and received no later than May 6. Welch can be contacted at
