NAWBO SAN DIEGO SEPTEMBER SEMINAR FOCUSES ON ENTITY SELECTION AND TRADEMARKS
SAN DIEGO—August 22, 2011—The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) San Diego, which promotes, supports and educates women business owners in achieving success, announced today that it will continue its monthly seminar series on Friday, September 9 with a program presented by business attorney Cindy Jones: “Entity Selection and Trademarks.” The seminar will be held at Brandman University, 7460 Mission Valley Road, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Jones has been advising small to mid-size businesses for more than seven years on general legal issues, and she also represents them in trademark matters, including registration and litigation. Her presentation will focus on three components that are most important to business entity selection— liability protection, tax burden and management complexity—as well as how to select good trademarks and protect them.
Pre-registration is required by noon on September 8 and seating is limited. NAWBO San Diego members can attend at no cost, while the fee for visitors is $25. Box lunches will be provided; bring your own beverage. Online registration and more information are available at nawbo-sd.org.
